Weight; Sleeping; Clean #Paleo; #Bipolar

02Oct12

Happy to say my weight is back down to 230 after nearly a week of clean eating. Feels better earning this with true Paleo effort, as opposed to hospital-stay-driven stress and malnutrition. ;)

I put up some black curtains in our room yesterday. Not true blackout curtains, but they definitely made a huge difference in the light that comes into our room in the morning. I feel like I slept better in the wee hours than I have in weeks, maybe months. Not perfect, but I definitely had an easier time getting back to sleep & don’t feel like I tossed and turned for hours.

Hubby says my snoring is not obvious to him now. That’s good, too.

I did have an episode last night, but recognized it almost immediately as driven by the bipolar. It is going to take time and a lot of work to rewire our entire process where these things are concerned. If this truly is caused by being bipolar, then it’s something we’ve been dealing with our whole marriage. Thankfully, I have therapy today & I have plenty of information to share from this last week. I will also find out how much the bipolar classes cost. I think I need those, too.

I am so blessed to have a husband who knew how I was *before* we got married – married me anyway, and we’re still here. A little worse for wear, but still together. & with this new knowledge and learning new coping skills, etc, maybe we can make it another 14. And beyond. :)

<3 you, hunny!

Oh, and food. Did well yesterday, though I ate too big for lunch & couldn’t figure out what to have for dinner. Breakfast was turkey & bacon lettuce cups w/ baby kosher dills. Lunch was bacon & eggs.
