So, I’m a few days in to taking the 5-HTP – and my apartment has never been cleaner! I even rearranged my bedroom yesterday. lol. Love that stuff. Might have to halve the dosage, though.. I’m going to run out of things to clean & organize at some point.
Food is good. In just under a week (cheese at my birthday dinner, or it would be a full 7 days now) and I’ve dropped 9 pounds, and ~30 points from my blood pressure. Still mostly meat and veg – lots of veg. I am also having some full-fat yogurt daily, if we have it, and an Atkins flax muffin (skipped yesterdays, though – testing my hunger boundaries), and the cranberry juice for my kidneys.
Also, started walking again, lots of aerobics, and the previously mentioned deep cleaning/organizing/furniture-rearranging. Decently sore this morning. lol
I’m sitting pretty at 243.5 this morning. YAY! 13.5 more and I’ve finally got 100 pounds lost!!
Still trying to figure out what’s going on with shark week – several people have suggested perimenopause to me when I’ve mentioned how things have been. As soon as I can get in for an exam, I’ll ask about that. I guess I’m right about at that age, given family history. Whee!
So, I’m eating uber-clean – for me – and it feels great. I realize how many ‘treats’ and extras I was allowing myself, because they were technically ok, but at some point you have to be honest about what’s not helping you achieve your goals. For me, honestly, it’s always been the health scares that get me on the narrow path. I know the results won’t continue at this pace, but I’m going to ride this until it’s done. Even if it means a few more months without bacon.
