Day 2 Report #21DSD & WTF Did I Sign Up To Be a Short-Order Cook!?
I started my day pretty high on life. I made up a mess of food for breakfast – 8 eggs, 1/2 a ribeye w/ the last of the mixed mushrooms & spinach & leeks.

I was only able to eat half of what you see, so I save it for later. Had that & all the rest of the scrambled eggs w/ guac for lunch. Dinner was meatballs swimming in a quick homemade marinara.
By the time dinner rolled around I’d done a bazillion trips to the laundry room in the apartment complex, folded, put away, etc; several dozen squats, including some Goblin squats without weight; 5 minutes of plank. YEAH, baby!!
After the exercise.. again.. I felt like @ss pretty quickly. The cold symptoms reasserted themselves, and I felt tired, and cravy. Dinner was hard because I didn’t want the meatballs plain. That’s why I whipped up the marinara. I’d also thought to maybe have some frozen berries w/ coconut milk, but I never made it to that. Right before bed, I downed some more of the ribeye from breakfast & lunch, and 3 baby kosher dills w/ homemade mayo.
I had only one mug of black coffee w/ stevia yesterday, along w/ decaf green tea, and a ton of lemon water. Also took cranberry & cod liver oil today. That’s it!
I felt better by the time I fell asleep. Something about the salt in the pickles, maybe? I recall craving pickles & olives during past attempts at low-carb. I definitely lost some water retention yesterday. Eating super-clean will do that. I really wish we had some sweet taters…
Oh, and I put a big hunk of grass-fed red meat in the grokpot to cook overnight. I added an obscene amount of garlic & onion, along w/ some of the ribeye broth & some red wine. That’s gonna be my breakfast. The meat, not the wine.
Today is ‘rest’ day for exercise, but I’ll probably keep working on form for the squats, and I’m curious about doing a full-on pushup considering that I was able to do a plank yesterday. Would be amazing to be able to report that I was able to do some of those when I report in tomorrow morning.
Ok. So, we are entering an interesting time here, and I hope you’ll follow along to see if I crash and burn. rofl. I’m doing the 21-Day Sugar Detox, and Hubby is having dental work that will mean probably liquids only for him for a while, soft foods, etc thereafter – potentially for months while we wait for healing & bridges, etc. And the kids. They aren’t doing my level of detox, nor are they doing liquid/soup diet for the next little while, so guess who’s cooking for three different diets now. Yay! ROFLMAO!!! Like I said – crash & burn.
Honestly, though, it wouldn’t take much for me to put everyone on the detox, with the kids getting extras in dairy & treats & rice, etc, and I’ll just put all hubby’s food in the food processor w/ broth & he can eat w/ a straw. Hey, if that’s what it takes. lol
On to day 3!!
